 | Subdivision Improvement Plans The staff at City Engineering, L.L.C. has many years experience in residential subdivision design, ranging in projects from 4 lots to over 400 hundred in a subdivision. The improvement plans are the documents that take the designs of your imagination and transform them to paper to make them a reality. Subdivision improvement plans are all the plans you would need for grading and storm drainage, water and sewer line infrastructure, paving, storm water management, and final subdivision plat. These are also commonly known as the "working drawings" and is what your developer will need to get the job approved through the municipality and what the contractor will need to get the job constructed. Typically the improvement plans will also have other supporting reports and calculations such as, drainage reports, water and sewer design studies, soils reports and cost estimates.
We also have experience with commercial, office, retail, and manufacturing site projects as well. Many of these projects have the same components as residential projects but they also have their own unique challenges as well.

 | Street Design and Improvements Typically we do this kind of work with our subdivision improvements but occasionally we are contacted to improve an existing private roadway to provide access to an owners land, upgrade an existing road to be accepted into a municipality road system, signing and striping of travel lanes or to provide improved street drainage. Street improvement design depends on if the street will be public or private, the municipality street classification and desired speed, and what existing infrastructure is in the area. We can design street profiles to connect into existing streets and driveways, as well as designing storm water drainage systems or retention basins. We work with the local municipality in determining their minimum requirements, standard details and review procedures, and provide the necessary construction plans for their approval.
